This unique metal lathe tool accessory will allow the home shop machinist, model builder, gunsmith, custom Cue maker, (Billiards), ornamental wood turner etc. to be able to utilize their Dremel
®
tool, (or other moto-tool), on their mini metal lathe's 3/8 inch tool holder, and be able to precisely control it's movement!

If not specified the 3/4 X 12 tpi, (most common thread), will be sent. If wrong, the correct one will be sent at buyer's expense after return of first one.
Made from 1/2", high strength aluminum plate, with a
3/8 in. tall X 1/2 in. wide shank
, (not for lantern style tool posts that accept 3/8" wide tools) and tapped
EITHER 3/4 X 12 tpi OR 3/4 X 16 tpi. and COUNTERBORED.
By placing the shank in your tool holder, you will be able to use your Dremel
®
tool as a cut-off tool to very precisly cut your bolts or screws to length! Great for the pen turner who wants to trim the brass inner tube or make his own tubes from bulk tubing! Custom cue makers have found this to be a great item! Precise grinding can be achieved by using the many sizes and profiles of grinding stones, discs etc. on the market while in your lathe's compound. Placing off-center holes in your projects while held in your lathe's chuck and using a drill bit in the moto-tool is easier than moving it to the drill press and having to do a set up again!

Most modern, (post 1983), Dremel models have ¾ X 12 tpi !
The only ¾ X 16 tpi models are as follows…
Dremel model #’s - #270, 370 & 380 ALL are ¾ X 16 tpi
Ryobi model HT20vs is also ¾ X 16 tpi
Black and Decker, Craftsman and Alltrade so far seem to be all ¾ X 12 tpi.
