Vintage English Shrinking Jaws DFS Shrinker Stretcher Wheel Eckold Pullmax

This is a set of DFS Shrinking Jaws. DFS were one of only very few English made shrinkers. DFS are now a little forgotten, but in their day they produced the Rolls Royce of shrinking machines. The genius of their idea was the pie shaped center
section. As the shrinking jaws move together, the sprung loaded pie section moves out. This means that the workpiece always has a flat face pressing against it. There is no void for the workpiece to kink into. This gives smoother results than other makes. The jaws have finer stippling than other makes, which gives less marking. DFS machines were used by high end clients such as aircraft manufacturers and motorsport companies.
These jaws are 1 3/4 inch diameter. The body of the tool is 1 3/8 inch high. See pictures for more detail. They have 3/4 inch shanks.
